Shake Shake Shake… Shake Your Smoothies!

A Nutrimeal shake is one one of the best ways to start your day because it gives you the proper fiber, good complex carbs, proteins and EFAs (Essential Fatty Acids)! AND, these shakes are full of the highest-quality ingredients so they’re the best way to start your day!

Try to eat within 1 hour of rising to jump-start your metabolism. I also use the shakes as a meal replacement for lunch or dinner whenever I am too busy to make a meal or I know I’ll be working for a long time without a break.

For the USANA Shake Recipes, mix all ingredients in a blender. Obviously, omit any ingredients you don’t like and allow these recipes to inspire you to create your own combinations!

Experiment – the possibilities are endless! Additional add-ins might include flax seeds, whey, almonds, OG peanut butter or almond butter, plain yogurt, instant coffee, cinnamon or nutmeg or ginger, and even greens like spinach or kale.

Basic Shake Recipe
8–12 ounces of Liquid (Skim Milk, Soy Milk, Almond Milk or Water)
3 scoops of USANA Nutrimeal
½ cup frozen fruit

Tips for Adding & Storing Fruit
Frozen fruit gives your morning shake a rich, thick smoothie texture, especially if you add frozen banana.

  • Buy bags of frozen fruit at any supermarket to use when you don’t have fresh fruit in stock.
  • When fruit is in season, take advantage by buying in bulk and freezing extra.
  • When fresh fruit is beginning to turn, put it in the freezer to use for shakes.
  • To prevent fruit from freezing in a giant lump, spread fruit pieces on a baking sheet, freeze, then store them in freezer bags or containers
