‘Tis the Season…..!
The countdown is on – it’s only 12 days until Christmas, the most-celebrated holiday of the year in these here parts. No matter how you celebrate this time of year, stress is in the air. Stores are jammed, days are cold, darkness comes early, kids have finals, and those cousins who drive you crazy are visiting and staying for a week.
We need to exercise. Exercise is a not just for fat loss or building muscle. Exercise is for busting through stress, sleeping better, loosening up tight muscles and stiff joints, and warming the body on these cold, dark days. Exercise helps release happy hormones, and helps you clear your head of negativity. Exercise does a body good, yo.
I KNOW it seems like just one more thing you have to do. But it’s soooo worth it. Just 5-15 minutes of exercise can reset your mood, your muscles, and your attitude.
So let’s have a “12 Days of Christmas” Challenge, but instead, we’re gonna OWN these next two weeks and call it “12 Days of Kicking Ass!” Each day I will post a new workout challenge. Each one will be short and intense, easy to fit into your already-busy day, but sure to cure what ails you.
Well, I can’t help you with those irritating relatives. You’re on your own there.
So let’s get started!

We’re gonna start with a supa-short challenge just because it’s Saturday and who wants to spend all damn day exercising? Not me!
Today’s challenge is an Every Minute on the Minute challenge! This one hiits abs major big time and also throws in a total-body exercise just to cover our bases!
Watch to the end – this is one of my very first Thursday Throwdowns, and there are some bloopers at the end. Also, a fist bump and a congratulatory slap on the ass to anyone who notices the mistake I make in explaining the format…. anyone? Anyone?

Set your Gymboss Interval Timer to beep at 1-minute intervals. At the top of every minute, do:
- 5 Burpees with Push-Ups
- 5 Knee Tuck Abs
- Then hold plank for the remainder of the minute, or as long as you can.
Repeat for at least 5 rounds, and as many as you can!
